We're on the lookout for a warm and outgoing Administrator to join the team at our new 52-bed home, Langtree, nestled within the Standish Care Village.
Role Overview:
As an Administrator, you will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our residents, families and any other visitors to the home.
You will implement actions to meet and maintain administrative and financial standards whilst maintaining your skills and undertaking such training and development as required.
Experience working in an administrative role in a health and social care setting is preferred, however, this is not essential.
Role Expectations:
Role Specific Duties:
- Take the lead with new enquiries, booking show arounds and recording all enquiries in the database
- Day-to-day management of appointments, deliveries and all elements of the front desk operation whilst ensuring accuracy in the recording and communication of any related information
- To answer the telephone promptly and in a courteous manner
- To answer, record and process all incoming calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns
- To record residents' and their families' preferences in the system and communicate any outstanding requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up
- To support residents to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the residents we are supporting.
- To be fully aware of activities and facilities within the care home and the local area
- The safekeeping of any incoming mail, parcels, building keys to allow access for maintenance and repairs when necessary
- To accurately handle credit card transactions including resolving any delayed or disputed charges whilst maintaining confidentiality
- To ensure the security of resident’s valuables, stock and keys. This will include ensuring company security procedures are strictly always adhered to
- To undertake any all-administration duties as requested
- To ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy
- To undertake show rounds for potential new residents
- To complete the administrative requirements for all new employees
- To ensure all staff records are kept up to date and are fully completed/compliant
Working with Others:
- To develop effective working relationships with other employees and support and develop new and less experienced members of the team
- To cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation and induction of all new employees
- To attend and participate in team meetings
- To maintain and develop relationships with the residents, their families, friends and other visitors to the home.
- To be responsible for the health and safety of yourself as well as others in the home under the Health and Safety regulations whilst promptly reporting any hazards or potential hazards to the relevant person
- To maximise internal communication networks and have an extensive knowledge of the local area in order to promote and nurture positive relationships to answer residents' and visitors’ questions and make recommendations
- To work as part of a team and communicate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service
- To imminently report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behaviour to the manager on duty

- To provide a warm welcome to all new residents, team members and all visitors and to familiarise them with the home

Personal and Professional Development:
- Attend statutory training and any other training as directed whilst being open to learning opportunities
- Have a good understanding of dementia and how it affects those living with the disease
- Have a basic knowledge of CQC and the fundamental standards
