Roger’s well known at Norley Hall.
Formally a Reverend, he’s taken on a similar role within the home, daily he supports residents, runs services and even makes families feel at ease by getting to know them and their loved ones.
On Roger’s services, one resident said: “It’s the first time I feel like I can participate without limitations. Roger’s sessions feel like a place where we all belong.”
He’s met a lot of people along the way, and visitors often ask the question on their way out: “Was that Reverend Driver?”
Roger’s a great example of what you put in; you get out. He’s not short of friends and last month he was visited by a special one, Jean.
Settling down for a catch-up, they instantly started to reminisce about the good and the bad, their families and friends and of course how Jean met her husband all those years ago!
It’s been some time since they both saw each other, but the connection has always been there as they purred over a tray of Norley’s finest sandwiches.
Norley’s Activity Coordinator, Lorraine, helped set up their reunion which brought back countless memories for the pair. We hope it isn’t left so long next time!
