Lavender Hills gives daughter surprise birthday visit

Activity co-ordinator at Lavender Hills Care Home, Liz Kyme, was having a "natter" with resident June Wood, 83, when she remembered it was her daughter's birthday the following day.
June began to worry as she hadn't got her daughter, Jeanette Brown, a card to mark the occasion, which is when Liz stepped in.
“She was worried about missing her birthday, telling me that Jeanette was turning 17 tomorrow and she had to see her.
“I sent Jeanette a message to check and although it was her birthday the next day, it was her 61st and not her 17th."

Liz messaged Jeanette asking if she would be visiting the home, after responding to say she didn’t get back from work until 1 pm.
But Liz and June set off to Bolton to surprise her.
“June was worried at first that she wouldn’t be in but we drove over to Harwood, I knocked on the door and Jeanette was absolutely blown away.
“She welled up and even I had a lump in my throat, it was so heart-warming and it was just so nice to see them both together.”

The beautiful moment was captured by Liz who added:
“it made mine and June’s day and Jeanette said it made her birthday too.”
