Staff, residents, family and friends of Lakeside ‘rolled up’ to enjoy a Big Top experience on Friday when the circus came to the home.
The event was held in celebration of the home’s latest CQC inspection report, achieving a ‘Good’ rating. This puts Millennium Care in a position where 100% of our CQC KLOE ratings are rated as ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ and a true testament to the caring, compassionate and kind care delivered by our care teams.
A marquee on the home’s grounds was adorned with circus-themed backdrops ready to welcome its excited guests including our resident dogs, Millie and Jimmy were left ecstatic!
Guests enjoyed performances from a roaming high stilt juggler, ambient fire-breather and professional hula hooper while tucking into sweet treats and popcorn as well as freshly made food by our very own chefs.
Music and special circus props and games kept visitors entertained, as well as offering perfect memory-making photo opportunities.
The day consisted of three different sets of performances that were spread out throughout the event so everyone got a chance to enjoy the performers in a safe, controlled manner.
Staff were also rewarded individually by receiving a gift bag as a token of appreciation from the Millennium Care family for the continuous effort and commitment they provide each and every day.
It’s safe to say that the circus was a great success for all staff, residents and families and we look forward to celebrating more achievements as we continue to provide care that goes above and beyond.
