Residents at Worthington Lake Care Home visited Leigh Sports Village to partake in a half-hour cycle session on adaptable bikes.
Leigh Sports Village is the biggest investment in public sports, recreational and educational facilities in Wigan borough and for many years has transformed Leigh into one of the finest hubs of activity in the North West.
The Village is Wigan Council-run and one of 50 inclusive cycling centres which cater for additional needs as part of their ‘Wheels for All’ or ‘Pedal Away’ campaigns.
Alisha jumped into action, wasting no time after hearing about ‘Wheels for All’. She made it her mission to turn this dream into a reality.
Alan has a strong history of cycling having completed the Manchester to Wigan bike ride at the grand age of 70!
