Last month, all at Millennium were delighted to see Alessandro Caruso Architects awarded their third World Design Award for our Porritt Care Village development.
Having achieved planning permission towards the end of 2024, we're looking forward to the state-of-the-art development transforming our current offering in Ramsbottom.
Porritt Care Home will join Lavender Hills Care Home and create the Porritt Care Village, replicating our standout development - The Standish Care Village - which will be finalised later this year.
A vision for the future, Porritt Care Village won't just be a care home, it's a ground-breaking development that will redefine care in Lancashire while serving the growing need for additional support for those in later life.
The award-winning design compliments Millennium's innovative approach to care, with the home set to incorporate both the Household Model of Care and the Buurtzorg Model of Care.
Both approaches encourage independence and dignity, allowing residents to age with vibrancy while loved ones have the peace of mind they deserve.
ACA’s innovative approach ensures that Porritt Care Village is built not just for today’s needs but for the future. From dementia-friendly way-finding to biophilic design elements that enhance well-being, every aspect of the care village is purposefully crafted. Sustainable materials, smart technology, and an intuitive layout all contribute to a setting that supports both residents and staff, making day-to-day life easier and more enriching.
Being associated with ACA and their World Design Award is not just a milestone, it's motivation to continue pushing the boundaries of care home design. We're committed to shaping the future of the sector, ensuring that care environments are not only safe and functional but also inspiring and life-enhancing.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to ACA for this well-deserved recognition and look forward to continuing our journey towards creating exceptional spaces where people can truly thrive.
