Worthington spreads the love

2 minute read

Worthington Lake Care Home hosted a special Valentine’s Day event to spread the love in the heart of the Standish community.

On Tuesday 14th February, the team hosted a ’50s-themed Valentine’s Tea Dance at the Methodist Church in Standish.

Inviting family, friends and sister homes from across the Millennium Care group, the event was a heart-warming success!

As the homes’ new Activity Coordinator’s first event, Alisha Bromley was keen to set the bar high for this special shindig.

The event included a cake stall, refreshments and of course music! Funded through a recent raffle we would like to thank all those who purchased tickets.

“It’s great to give our residents something to look forward to and get excited about. And what better way to spread the love other than Valentine’s Day itself?

“The purpose of the event was to join together and share our love, especially for those who don’t have a loved one with them anymore.

“I think it’s great to have our sister homes involved in special events and come together as a group to give our residents the opportunity to build new friendships.”

Kim Jones, Home Manager

“I absolutely love dancing! I enjoy getting out and joining social events. I loved every second of it.”
