As part of Millennium’s commitment to providing a workspace where employees can have a positive experience, we were delighted when we achieved our B Corp certification.
A challenging accreditation, it was almost a year in the making with staff members from across the Group working hard to research, document and evidence answers across five key areas.
Governance, Customers, Environment, Community and of course, Workers!
In the Workers section, we hit 61%. It was our second-best performing category but there’s still work to do. But what’s in it for you?
More and more people are looking for careers that align with their values. B Corps are a new kind of company that balances purpose and profit. If you’re considering a career move or just starting, here’s why working for a B Corp (or Millennium specifically!) might be the right choice for you.
Who wouldn’t want their work to mean something and have positive outcomes? Unlike traditional companies that focus solely on profit, B Corps are committed to making a positive impact on society and the environment.
At Millennium you’re not just clocking in and out; you’re contributing to a mission that aims to make the world a better place. Hopefully, that satisfaction helps you get out of bed in the morning!
No more toxicity. Happy employees are productive employees, we want you to be one of them. We make sure staff feel valued, there are perks to our roles and you’re not just a number.
Achieving B Corp status isn’t a tick-box exercise, it’s rigorous, evidence-driven and most of all continuous.
If you care about social justice or environmental sustainability and the work, you’re doing for a company genuinely contributes to making a difference then it’s a win win!
Generally, B Corps are more resilient they focus on long-term sustainability rather than short-term gains. This approach translates to better job security for you. Since B Corps are committed to the well-being of their employees and other stakeholders, they’re less likely to make drastic, profit-driven decisions that could put your job at risk.
If career growth is important to you, we have you covered.
We place a strong emphasis on professional development, offering plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and advance your career. Whether it’s through mentorship programs, workshops, or simply the chance to take on new challenges.
After all, helping you succeed is just another way we can fulfil our mission of making a positive impact.
